Authorized translations
Authorized translations are translations performed by translators authorized by the Ministry of Justice of Romania to translate official documents and to work with all institutions within this ministry, or with other state institutions, such as the police, courts, law firms, or notaries.
Legalized translations
A legalized translation is, as in the case of an authorized translation, performed by an authorized translator, and then signed and stamped by a public notary, who certifies that the translator is indeed authorized and has the right to perform the translation.
In Romania, the translation can be legalized by a public notary, who certifies, in addition to the translator's signature and stamp, the fact that the document that was translated is an original document. He does not assume responsibility for the accuracy of the translation.
